iPhone, Pixel and Samsung wireless charger that lets you charge while you're asleep with less worry now £16

Experts recommend you do not charge your phone on your bed while you sleep as it can result in a fire

Amazon have knocked pounds off a wireless charger that works for an iPhone, Google Pixel and Samsung phone while you're asleep with less worry. UK charity Electrical Safety First warn that you should never "charge any electrical devices, including phones and tablets, on your bed or under your pillow while you sleep as they could overheat and cause a fire."

While it's not recommended to charge your phone overnight, if you do it's safer to do it on a hard surface using something like a wireless charger. Luckily, Amazon have a 36 per cent discount on their INIU Wireless Charger, bringing it down to just £15.99.

Compatible with most modern smartphones (and some less-than-modern, see the full list here), INIU promise a fast charge with three years' warranty. There's an LED indicator inside so it can be bright in the day and dim in the dark, so it can indicate it's charging without waking you up.

It also has a temperature guard to prevent overheating and claims to be conductive enough that you can watch things while charging in both landscape or portrait. The charger has so far received a 4.4 out of 3,741 reviews.

One person said: "Good quality, works well but only one minus the green light should go out when phone is fully charged but it doesn't but no big problem." Another added: "Charger does the job takes over two hours to charge my phone so I wouldn’t call it lightning fast. The device isn’t magnetic and so you have to be careful that it doesn’t come out of position. However, my phone is notably cooler when being charged on this device than a leading brand. Therefore I would recommend especially if you like your phone to be charged over night. It has a handy green light at the side that informs you that it is charging."

A third said: "Its not a bad phone charger but depute the fast charging description it takes my Samsung S22 nearly 2 hours to charge and the unit seems to get pretty hot as well. Will keep because its handy for overnight charging but I wouldn't recommend if you wanted something that charges your phone quickly. I use my regular fast charger if I'm in a hurry."

Elsewhere, Argos have a £12.99 wireless charger. It comes with the LED indicators so you know it is charging and built-in overheating protection. It works on any device that has wireless charging built into it - but it does not include a mains plug.

Currys are selling a wireless charging power bank for £49.99. It has battery for two full charges and works with all Qi wireless devices and even contains a magnet to keep your phone in place.
